When A Notebook Is The Best Choice
I chose a notebook because it seemed better to me at the time. I like smaller compact things and typically you can get one smaller in screen size than you can a laptop. I wanted something of more convenience. They do not usually have a disk drive like a laptop, but this did not matter to me because I listen to music that I download off the Internet and I never install anything.
When buying one of these it can be difficult to decide on the right one. You can get one that is small and this would result in not being able to see the screen because you may be someone who is not very good at seeing and having a small screen could result in your eyesight getting worse if you stare at a small screen for a long time and strain your eyes.
I can keep it at my home and still walk around the house and use it. With a desktop I can not sit it in my lap and type on it. I suppose I can sit in in my lap but this would be really hard to type and it would be real heavy. I think this is the best deal when you are trying to get a computer for your home because you can sit comfortably on your couch and use it and you can even recline and relax while you are surfing the Internet.
I save a lot of pictures and this is why I got an external hard drive because it just was not enough storage space and it was slowing my computer down. I thought there would be a huge difference in the two but in all actuality they were pretty much twins and I think they pretty much looked the same other than weight.
Either way a laptop is the recommended computer to get when you have to take it along for traveling and a notebook is the best if you are someone who does not want to sit in the same chair for hours on end. A desktop usually comes with more storage, but you can get an external hard drive if you do not have enough storage on a notebook or laptop.
If you buy a one that is used, make sure you can check it out before you buy it and if you do not know much about them then you should take someone along with you to look at it and this will ensure you are getting your money's worth.
If you do not know much about them make sure you ask someone who does. Do not ask the person who is selling them because, chances are they will tell you what they think you want to hear so that they can sell it to you.
