Introducing The Panasonic Viera TX-L32G10
The TX-L32G10 flat panel LCD television is the thirty two inch television set of the G10 series launched by Panasonic earlier this year. The G10 series is also available in a thirty seven inch television set. This smaller television set could be ideal as a second television in the bedroom or kitchen.
From a practical standpoint, the Panasonic Viera TX-L32G10 black panel screen weighs about 30 pounds (under 15 kilograms) and can swivel up to 15 inches. Its portability, however, is not the main selling point. The TX-L32G10 is a standout in regards to picture quality and screen uniformity. The inclusion of Panasonic's Intelligent Frame Creation system has helped generate a superior moving picture experience.
The Panasonic L32G10 is on par with some of the top quality LCD screens possessing a 1920 x 1080 progressive scan resolution. The TV's dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1 is not as generous as some of the larger televisions, however, adequate for its size. Although the dynamic contrast ratio is not as relevant often times as the native contrast ratio, a simple industry rule of thumb is that a dynamic contrast ratio is about 5x as large as the native contrast ratio. The difference between dynamic and native is that when conducting a dynamic measurement the back light is used at extreme levels and during a native contrast ratio measurement the back light is maintained at one level.
The display also has a 100-HZ Intelligent Frame Creation capability which doubles the 50-HZ video signal input to produce smooth image transitions. This provides the enhanced moving picture quality. Furthermore, what makes this TV set different from its predecessors is its 178 degree viewing angle that does not detract from picture quality when viewed from the sides (or at an angle). The TX-L32G10 TV also features auto aspect control which also enhances the viewing experience. However, one should note that these capabilities are available in other makes and television sets and not unique to the TX-L32G10.
A strongly marketed functionality of the TX-L32G10, is the Freesat tuner which allows the flat panel high definition television to intercept free HD broadcasts over the air. Aside from free satellite content, the flat panel LCD is also CATV set compatible and capable of receiving FM radio signals.
Aside from channel surfing, the TX-L32G10's progressive scan screen is useful for gaming and home theatres. The resolution and quality of the image will obviously depend on the gaming console or component and works adequately with the Wii console according to some user reviews. This television also has VGA and SVGA (among others) PC signal inputs allowing the LCD television to be used as a computer monitor.
Another unique feature in this Panasonic Viera TX-L32G10 TV is the VIERA Link which allows for easy picture viewing directly on the monitor. The panel has a convenient SD memory card slot. Furthermore, the VIERA Link has a specific setting for the new LUMIX camera which can be linked directly to the screen through the HDMI port.
The sound system in the Panasonic TX-L32G10 is typical of most Panasonic TV sets with the speakers on the bottom and a 20W surround sound digital out functionality. This audio capability in concert with its moving picture quality and functionality provides a nice little home theatre package.
